Velocity partners up with Drop It Shopping and The Westgate Centre to provide home delivery by cargo bike!
Here at Velocity we are proud to confirm our new partnership with DropIt Shopping and The Oxford Westgate Centre, offering shoppers a home delivery option by cargo bike straight from the shops!
How does it work?
Shoppers can continue to shop in store to their hearts desire. They can then leave their bags behind the counter at one of the shops within Westgate, or drop them to the guest experience desk. One of our cycle couriers will then deliver the bags to homes within a four mile radius.
What if I need my shopping the same day?
That is no problem for our riders! Guests who drop of bags before 3pm can receive same-day delivery!
What are the benefits to the Velocity and DropIt service?
We believe there are loads of benefits to using this service, probably the two biggest ones are:
- Reducing traffic, pollution and congestion - If you're planning some retail therapy, it can be tempting to take the car as it can be hard work transporting bags home by bike, foot and bus. Using this service enables you to do your shopping without having to worry about that. The use of cargo bikes as opposed to petrol or diesal delivery methods also reduces the carbon emissions caused by these services.
- Keeping people shopping locally - Many people swap the shops for the internet for the convience of it. Without the need to pay for parking, worry about heavy arms or getting your items home, you can enjoy a day at the shops without hassle involved.
